The UX4G team conducted a series of sessions demonstrating the value of user-centered design in governance. The agenda featured an orientation on the fundamentals of UX and UI with a live demonstration of an application specific to Arunachal Pradesh. This was followed by an overview of the UX4G Project, highlighting its background, objectives, and impact on government digital services across the country.
Participants were also introduced to DigiLocker and Entity Locker as tools for enabling paperless governance and enhancing user experience in service delivery. Hands-on sessions focused on UX design thinking, the process of conducting UX audits for web and mobile applications, and defining real-life problem statements. The team demonstrated how these methods could be applied to state-specific use cases, showcasing detailed case studies of the Arunachal State Portal, the Tourism portal, and various e-services.
The workshop further explored the implementation of reusable components through the UX4G Design System, illustrating how a standardized design approach can ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across platforms. An interactive discussion session addressed challenges in adopting UX/UI practices, with participants sharing feedback and exploring practical solutions.
The day concluded with a valedictory session reinforcing the state’s commitment to strengthening its digital ecosystem through user-first design practices, supported by modern tools, reusable systems, and continuous UX improvements.
