The workshop was inaugurated with remarks from senior officials at NIC and NeGD, with keynotes highlighting the importance of design thinking in driving inclusive digital transformation aligned with the Digital India mission.
Over 70+ NIC officials and technical staff from multiple departments participated actively in the workshop. Sessions covered UX heuristics, accessibility compliance, and implementation of the UX4G Design System for government platforms. Emphasis was laid on inclusive UI/UX practices, especially within the context of mission-mode projects and citizen service portals.
The UX4G team delivered practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, including case studies on successful UX redesigns for state portals and central schemes. Use cases included grievance redressal, e-services access, and digital form simplification.
Participants expressed enthusiasm about leveraging UX4G’s expertise for future revamps of public-facing platforms. The event marked a strong step forward in NIC’s commitment to delivering intuitive, accessible, and high-performing government digital services.
