2- Day Workshop on Emerging Technologies

Shillong, Meghalaya

A two-day Workshop on Emerging Technologies was held on April 24–25, 2025, at the State Convention Centre in Shillong. Organized by the Department of Information Technology & Communications, Government of Meghalaya, in collaboration with NeGD, the event brought together state leadership and experts to explore the role of AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, UX in governance, and public digital infrastructure.

The workshop was virtually inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma. President & CEO of NeGD, Nand Kumaram, also joined the event and emphasized the importance of scalable, citizen-first digital solutions across states.

UX4G contributed focused sessions on citizen-centric design and accessible interfaces, underlining the role of good UX/UI practices in mission-mode projects. Case studies such as the MSPSDC portal, Guest House Reservation system, and the IT&C Department website showcased how thoughtful design improves public service delivery.

With over 100 registrations on Day 2, the workshop saw strong participation and enthusiasm. Attendees appreciated UX4G’s hands-on guidance on implementing intuitive and inclusive digital platforms aligned with Meghalaya’s broader transformation goals.
